allison-picAllison North Jones, is experienced in all aspects of media strategy, public policy and planning with more than a decade of media and public relations experience.

Working for national news organizations in Washington D.C., including Bloomberg News, the New York Times and CNN, Allison developed a keen understanding of politics and public policy. As a member of Florida’s Capitol Press Corps Allison covered the Florida Legislature as well as statewide and national political campaigns for the Tampa Tribune. As a member of one of the nation’s most competitive press corps, Allison lead the pack breaking news stories about the Florida Legislature, Gov. Jeb Bush and several state agencies including the embattled Department of Children and Families and Department of Education.

Allison’s experience with policy issues and intimate knowledge of Florida’s political landscape gives clients an edge in developing media campaigns and strategy.

Since leaving the Florida Press Corps, Allison has helped develop several public relations campaigns and secured media exposure for a number of businesses, associations and not-for-profit organizations. Most recently she helped develop a grassroots campaign and coalition advocating the elimination of Florida’s no-fault auto insurance system or PIP, on behalf of a coalition of the state’s leading property and casualty insurers including the state’s largest insurer, State Farm. During the campaign Allison was a frequent source for the media on the issue.

Allison has also worked to advance civil justice reform and helped guide the Florida Justice Reform Institute’s public relations efforts over the past two years. She has also helped develop campaigns for some of the state’s leading business organizations including the Florida Retail Federation and the Florida Association of Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Operators. Allison has also worked on public relations campaigns with several state agencies including the Department of Health as well as implementing the strategic communications and media campaign that helped secure the sale of Babcock Ranch in Southwest Florida to the state.
